Tiger Sanitation is a local, family-owned business with over 270 dedicated professional employees. We have a storied history with roots going back to 1981 when Central Texas Refuse was created in Austin, Texas by Dick Butler and a small group of entrepreneurs. In 2002, Tiger Sanitation, Inc. was born in San Antonio out of the hard work and dedication of Mr. Butler, gaining success from Central Texas Refuse. In 2013, Mr. Butler passed ownership of Tiger Sanitation to his six children – five daughters and one son. Today, second and third-generation Butler’s actively serve the company in leadership roles. Tiger proudly serves over 100,000 residential customers and 6,500 commercial and industrial customers. By emphasizing superior customer service and our thoughtful decision-making process, Tiger has grown to be the largest independent waste and recycling collection service provider in the greater San Antonio area.
